Berdiansk for Nazar Frolov is the sea, warm sand and an ended childhood. On February 24, 2022, he and his family left the city. First they went to the summer house, and on March 4 they were forced to leave the native home forever. On that day, enemy military equipment with the letters "Z" was passing under the windows.
The real pain came later, when Nazar realized: there is no turning back. Friends left for Europe, some remained in the occupation. The native sea of Azov, to which he was used, is now only in his memories.
Today Nazar lives in Kyiv. He entered a film school, is studying to become a director and dreams of making films – about people who were able to survive, about the power of memory and freedom.
He told his story during a vacation in Transcarpathia – as part of the project "Peaceful Rest for children of Ukraine" from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
