Thousands of Ukrainian children were illegally taken to the russian federation during the war. The return of these children to Ukraine is a tremendous work of the state, caring professionals and volunteers. At home, each of these children is in dire need of support and qualified rehabilitation.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation in cooperation with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights was the first to provide comprehensive help to the children who were returned to Ukraine, providing them with priority psychological and physical rehabilitation.

Recently, these boys and girls had a rest, recuperated and underwent a rehabilitation course at the Blogger Camp in a sanatorium in Zakarpattia region as part of the Foundation's "Rinat Akhmetov for Children. Peaceful Recreation for Children of Ukraine" project. There they shared their stories with the Civilian Voices Museum.

The children's stories are scary and frank. They are about what no one should have to face. These are living testimonies about russian war crimes. The stories of courage and endurance of young Ukrainians surrounded by the enemy far from home and family. The stories of pain and loss - and of light conquering darkness.

The museum has put them together in a separate collection.
