Mykola Lupalenko is a retired firefighter from the village of Dibrova, Kyiv region. He talks about how his family and neighbours went through the difficult times of a full-scale invasion, trying to survive in conditions of uncertainty. Fear and anxiety reigned in the air when russian tanks began to appear near the local forest. When the situation became critical, Mykola's children insisted on evacuation, because his daughter-in-law was still hopeful. The man remembers how many cars piled up on the roads: he even lost count. And how difficult it was to leave his home. Mykola joined volunteer activities. He helps weave camouflage nets for the Ukrainian military.
