Liubov is from the village of Peremoha, which spent more than 30 days under occupation. She herself found herself surrounded by the enemy. She did not leave because she was taking care of a special institution for elderly people and people with special needs.
The enemy immediately came to her with a search. They intimidated her, demanded that she hand over hunters and participants of the ATO. They went around, checking all the patients, sometimes more than once a day. Liubov had to hide those in her care and search for food supplies for the institution. The electricity was gone, they cooked on gas cylinders. And all of this happened under constant psychological pressure from the occupiers.
Liubov recalls the evacuation of the institution, when she managed to defend the possibility of taking out all the patients. And despite resistance, she achieved that transport came directly to the boarding house. The patients were carried out by thin women workers. When strength was already gone, time was running out, Liubov, in despair, shouted at the enemy soldiers with assault rifles surrounding the bus, asking if they were truly not human at all. One of them put his weapon aside and helped carry the patients.
It was on the 13th. And on March 14, another humanitarian corridor opened. Liubov left for the neighboring Baryshivka. There she learned about the liberation of the village. And immediately began to fight for the restoration of the institution’s work. Thanks to many caring people, it was possible. And this fact strengthened even more Liubov’s faith in the future victory.
