At the beginning of the war, Vitalii primarily took care of the safety of the family – he took his wife and children to Zhytomyr Oblast, where he joined the local self-defense. When the russian troops withdrew from the Kyiv Oblast, he returned to the capital and began volunteering – he used his own minibus to take aid to the victims in Bucha. But three and a half years later, the war came to his house: in September 2025, a missile landed in a residential area near Vitalii's house. The explosion knocked out windows, glass covered everything around, and children were seriously injured. Vitalii will never forget how he took them to the hospital under the explosions – he saved them. And although the house is now uninhabitable, the most important thing is that the relatives survived, and everything else can be rebuilt.
