Mykola Kononenko

"They brought me to the forest, threw me into the pit. They were burning people alive not far from me"

Mykola Kononenko learned how russian propaganda worked in February-March 2022 from his own experience. And that experience was horrifying. A pit with rats, daily abuse and beatings. The screams of other Ukrainians who also fell into the hands of the torturers. Exhausted Mykola exchanged his life for participation in propaganda video in which he confessed on camera that he was an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine. This video was aired on the first channel of the russian federation telling about the nobility of the occupiers, who help the locals and rescue even wounded Ukrainian soldiers. Mykola has scars all over his body from the "nobility of the occupiers".
