“ You need to enjoy life, be happy that you remained alive”

I moved to Zaporizhzhya, while my hometown is Donetsk. I remember that it is a nice and friendly city. We walked around there very often. We lived near the airport. When the war began, on the first day, we were walking outside, we ate some mulberries, as far as I remember. Then we were on the way back home.

I saw a military man. He was standing in the street with a weapon in his hands. He was probably guarding the territory. My sister told me to go home quickly because we were scared. Our parents told us to hide in one room all together. Then an explosion happened and the bombing began. We were hiding. We stayed there for two weeks and then we moved.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped us – we moved to Zaporizhzhya. It is good and fun there. The school is good.

You need to enjoy life, be happy that you remained alive, and you need to be cheerful, positive and not to be sad.
