“When I fell asleep, it became scary”

I previously lived in the village of Lebedynske near Mariupol. It was a village. There were a lot of houses and streets there. There were a lot of friends there too. Then the war began and we moved to Mariupol.

The first days, when the war began, we did not leave. We stayed in the cellar. We stayed there maybe a week or two, I don’t know. The first time when the war started, I don’t remember much of it. I somehow did not understand what it was. Then I felt scary every time when I went to bed.
