In the morning, after receiving the news of the outbreak of war, Nina went to work anyway – she was a chef in a kindergarten at the time, and her responsibility took over. The silence in the underground, where everyone was silently reading the news on their phones, is forever etched in her memory – it was worse than the explosions. When there were reports that sabotage groups were operating in her neighbourhood, Nina left for Ivano-Frankivsk, but her heart kept pulling her home. When she returned, she realised: the war has changed not only the country, but also each of us. Now Nina works in education and is convinced that just as the nation is undergoing a painful transformation, so must everyone personally find new meanings. She dreams of peace, of a humanity that draws conclusions, and of a worthy victory for Ukraine.
