For Yevheniia, a member of the Irpin City Council, the first day of the full-scale invasion began with a working session. It was necessary to quickly organise the work of the headquarters and establish volunteer activities. But when she saw russian helicopters in the sky, she realised: First of all, she had to get her four children out of the danger zone. Yevheniia planned to arrange everything quickly, but during her absence, the city was occupied. Only after the de-occupation did she see her native Irpin again and barely recognised it – the familiar places now looked more like the scenery from a horror film.
