“My grandfather died of a wound, my uncle was burned in Mariupol, and my aunt is missing”

Mykhailo Turkov is a 14-year-old resident of Sumy. The boy’s family has suffered many losses since 2014. In 2017, Mykhailo’s grandfather died of an injury, and after the full-scale invasion, his uncle and aunt were killed in Mariupol. These losses were a heavy blow to his family. Despite numerous attacks on Sumy, the boy remains in the city. Mykhailo’s mother is a volunteer who constantly travels to hot spots. The teenager told his war story while participating in the project “Rinat Akhmetov to Children”.
