When the full-scale war began, Denys took his family to Europe, while he stayed in Ukraine – he couldn’t do otherwise, because he believed:  everyone must make their contribution to the common struggle. He lives between two cities – Kamianske and Kyiv. On the night of June 17, 2025, when Kyiv suffered a massive combined attack, Denys was in the capital – he had come on business. An explosion, a blaze, glass showering down on him – it all happened within seconds. The blast wave shattered the windows. Denys immediately ran to his parents – they were saved by the shelter, but the apartment was wrecked by the explosion that destroyed the neighboring building. Until morning, Denys helped the neighbors clear the rubble. And in the morning, despite everything – as always, he did yoga. Right in front of the shattered windows. Because holding on and being a support – this is a choice. And a way of life.
