How to survive life crises correctly? What crises are typical for civilians in Donbass? What is the “war trauma” and how to gain confidence about the future? These and other questions were answered during live broadcast of the project Overcome. Psychologist Helps by Olena Lukyanchuk, a psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, specialist in crisis psychology and overcoming traumatic experiences, the coordinator of the psychological service of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
In particular, the psychologist spoke about the typical crises of people who live along the line of demarcation. According to her, the civilians in Donbass typically face uncertainty, loss of their usual way of life, social environment, confidence in the future, etc. The main challenge and need for any person is confidence in the future, which is extremely rare in people who live near the area of active hostilities.
