Olena Kravets found the occupation in her native village. There was no electricity or gas. The woman cooked on the grill for herself and her neighbors. Olena's husband had suffered a stroke the day before the invasion, so it was hard for the couple even without the war.

Together with their fellow villagers, they helped those in need. They helped those who were hungry and freezing. Once Olena met a woman who was begging for help. The whole village responded to the trouble! Olena sheltered one of the families in her home for several weeks.

They also had to take care of abandoned cats and dogs. The number of such animals increased with every day of the occupation.

After the liberation of Kolonshchyna, she joined a powerful volunteer movement: every day she weaves camouflage nets for the front.
