Mykhailo Vashchuk

“I hope my father will come back”

First, Mykhailo's uncle went to the front, and then his father. His father went missing on the battlefield along with several of his comrades in the fall of 2023. From that moment on, Mykhailo says, his life seemed to be on pause. His father is being searched for, and Mykhailo does not lose hope of meeting him.

The boy told his story during his rehabilitation under the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation's Peaceful Vacation for Children of Ukraine project.
