"I would like to end this whole war"

Life was raging in our city. We had some events that took place very often. There were just a lot of people, there were a lot of holidays. It was felt that there was some prospect, some future life.

War… When they tell you, it seems: no, we will not have this. Then when it comes, it can't be put into words.

My godfather is from Ilovaisk. He called and said they hadn't been able to leave the basement for a week. And when they came to us, we didn't have so much. They were all covered in blood, dirty, lived in the basement for a week and their hands were shaking. They tried to save two people. The man was bringing bread, they say he was killed by a shell. He got caught between the first and second floor. The windows, doors and doors were smashed.

It's a shame, it's a shame for my hometown, for the area where I lives. It's a shame that all this is being rebuilt and everything is falling apart. Recovery takes time, a lot of time. I have resentment for the fact that this is how people have developed.

I want to have freedom of action. So that our relatives can come to us. So that we can move to them without any borders. To feel like a free person in a free, peaceful country. To feel safe.

I would like to end this whole war. To find some kind of general agreement, a truce. To think simply about the lives of those people who are there, who do not have the opportunity to leave, there is no way to just start life again.

So that people will wake up, think about everything that is happening and start doing something about it. So that people understand how terrible it is and do not allow this nightmare and horror in the future. So that all people live in peace and harmony, in freedom and just a beautiful life.
