Oleksii Korvin-Piotrovskyi is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and for many years the head of an expedition studying the Trypillia culture. For decades he has been uncovering the secrets of giant settlements that existed on our land six thousand years ago. His findings – from prototypes of brick houses to the oldest pottery kilns in the world – impressed scholars on both sides of the ocean. The war forced the expedition to stop, but in the spring of 2025, thanks to the indomitable energy of Mr. Oleksii, research came alive again. His inexhaustible optimism proves that cultural heritage is not only a memory of ancestors, but also a guide to the future, which helps us endure today.
