“The military thank us for the opportunity to distract them from the horror”

Oleksandr worked at the Donetsk Theatre for Young Spectators and left his hometown in 2014. He lived and worked in Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and eventually in Kyiv. In 2021, he came to Donetsk for the last time and saw that only the city centre was in a normal state, everything else was in twilight. Oleksandr is glad that after the performances, the Ukrainian military thank the actors for the opportunity to escape the horror of war.
