Before the war, Yuliia’s life was full of dreams and plans. However, the war destroyed everything – and at the same time opened up something new. At the beginning of the invasion, the enemy was advancing rapidly in the Mykolaiv region, and Yuliia’s hometown came under heavy shelling. It took her a while, but she finally decided to leave – for Kyiv. Here, she found new people, a new rhythm, and a new self. This journey coincided with a personal stage of growing up. While at the beginning of the war Yuliia felt like a little girl, helpless and confused, now she is ready to take responsibility for herself, her life and her country. Yuliia knows for sure: no matter how much things change around her, she wants to live here, in Ukraine. In the country she loves – strong, real, free.
