Maryna Bagulova

"He called me and cried. His crew was one of the first to enter Bucha"

Maryna is a teacher from Vinnytsia. Her essay, dedicated to her deceased husband, won first place in the "Museum of Civilian Voices" competition of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

"My husband went to protect us with a plate in his back; he had a disability. Thanks to people like him, we can drink coffee here, watch television and breathe calmly," says Maryna. She managed to overcome the pain of loss to find herself helping others. These are fundraising for the military, charity events, psychological support for widows and mothers of fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The faith in the victory a good woman brings to her students.

Maryna recalled July 14, 2022 – the attack on the Officers' House in Vinnytsia. She lived near the building where the military only had a name and an orchestra.
