On the night of February 24, Valerii dreamed of war. And just a few hours later, the dream became a terrifying reality in which it was necessary to act. Together with his neighbours, Valerii set up a shelter where, amid cramped conditions, anxiety, and explosions, something unexpected was born: the idea of a youth theatre. To distract the children from the horror, Valerii began reading them fairy tales. Later — together with other adults — he started staging mini-performances. This experience brought an understanding: people need a respite from the terrifying reality of war — and it became the starting point for the creation of the Kyiv Chamber Youth Theatre Art Line. Today, it is a creative space where students of theatre universities perform, and every show is free, open, and sincere. And most importantly, it gives hope and faith — in life that goes on.
