Anatolii Radchenko is a miner from Myrnohrad. He spent 35 years of his life working hard. Today he is a retired mining foreman. When the war came to his hometown, Anatolii and his wife witnessed terrible shelling. “There were a lot of arrivals,” he says. When the electricity, gas and water supply were cut off, the couple lost hope. “We left everything and went away,” Anatolii says, how difficult it was to leave everything they loved.
The war took away not only Anatolii's home, but also his family. “My godson went missing at the front near Mariupol,” the man says bitterly. This loss left a deep mark on Anatolii's soul. He told his story during a visit to the IDP hub in Odesa.
