Yaroslava is an artist from Kyiv. On the morning of February 24, 2022, she woke up and realized that the world had gone mad. The hardest moment for her was the russian assault on Kyiv. She was sitting at home on the balcony near the Dnipro River, hearing the rumble of artillery and unable to believe that in the 21st century her city was under attack. Even 10 years before the war, her art had begun to change — instead of gentle angels, she started creating battle scenes, as if foreseeing great trials. Yaroslava believes that Ukraine now personifies true heroism. She creates not only paintings, but also panels, furniture, and clothing as a continuation of her art.
