Liliia works for a non-governmental organization that protects children from online violence and risks, including recruitment, which has become especially relevant during the war.

Liliia was at home when the full-scale war began. At first, she didn’t believe it, but after hearing explosions and seeing impacts on the horizon, she quickly packed her things and left for a village near Kyiv. A month later, Liliia temporarily evacuated to Germany but couldn’t stay there for long. The loss of her classmate — a defender who had been fighting since 2014 — was a particularly heavy blow. For Liliia, he was a symbol of resilience and an inner source of strength.
