Pavlo recounts the everyday life in Velyka Novosilka. The settlement in Donetsk region memorized the schedule of the shelling. They would start and stop at certain hours. And when the silence came, one could leave the shelters and go about their business. Then, again, one had to hide and pray it wouldn’t hit you.

Pavlo is 33 years old, but half of his hair is grey — a mark left by the endless weeks spent in the cellar. He left together with his mother in the morning, during one of the “windows” without fire. And he urges everyone who finds themselves in a similar situation not to waste time and leave as soon as possible.
