During the full-scale invasion, Nataliia and her family lived in Zaporizhzhia region, in a village. In the morning, she went to a fair and found out that Russian troops had attacked Kyiv.
"We were so naive, we wrote to our relatives in Russia to stop it, but they said: "Be patient, relatives, you will be liberated in two weeks".
From March 1, we stayed at home, afraid to go out. The military were driving through the villages. People came out to protest, crowds blocked the road: "We were not expecting you". And they answered us: "We came to liberate you".
In the neighbouring village, they shot the people blocking the road, so there was no more confrontation. We realised that they had come to kill us" Natalia said.
