Andrii's story is a long journey. It started in Kyiv. At first, Andrii took his family to the region. But he quickly realised that he needed to move on. He covered the 500 kilometres to Ivano-Frankivsk region in 17 hours. Only to realise that his mother was in a terrible situation in Mariupol. And there was no one else to save her except her son.
He returned to a completely different Kyiv, empty and military. Then came three days in Zaporizhzhia and 30 checkpoints to Mariupol. The city, according to Andrii, resembled the scenery for the film Terminator 2. But he managed to find and pick up his mother and take her away.
