The morning of February 24, 2022, began for Anatolii with a count of missiles he saw being shot down with his own eyes. Later – phone calls to his son, friends, acquaintances with the most terrible news – war! They hid in the cellar together with his son's family. But the constant explosions scared the little grandchildren very much. At the beginning of March, Anatolii's wife left for Poland with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Anatolii and his son remained to protect his home in Ivankovychi: they built barricades, carried sand and humanitarian aid. "You have to stay. Stay, work and live here," Anatolii believes.
