Valeriia’s home has already been damaged for the second time by a missile strike. The first time it happened was on February 24, 2022 – then a cat died in the apartment, and the woman, together with her three-year-old son, fled under shelling, searching for shelter. It seemed that the same tragedy could not repeat twice. But on the night of July 31, 2025, the blast wave from a russian missile that destroyed the neighboring building once again shattered the windows in her home. This time, among the dead were also Valeriia’s acquaintances. Today, her greatest support is her little son, who reminds her that even in a sea of loss, it is worth holding on to life for the sake of the future.
