Mykola Dekhtiarchuk is originally from Donbas. Even before the full-scale war, he and his wife settled in the village of Lehedzyne in Cherkasy region, where in an old house he arranged a creative workshop to devote his life to pottery. During the war, when many displaced people came to the village, the demand for his master classes grew – people were seeking comfort, a feeling of safety, and a touch of their own roots. Despite the war, Mykola calls himself happy, since he lives in harmony with his favorite work, which has become a symbol of unity with his native land and a support in difficult times.
