Vladyslav Vareniuk

“The tank stopped in front of the hospital. No sooner had we helped the women get into the basement than it fired! My ears started ringing”

Vladyslav Vareniuk delivered babies amid shelling. An OB/GYN from Kropyvnytskyi was saving the lives of pregnant women and newborns in occupied Trostianets. He assisted in a surgery ward and examined wounded women. When the invasion began, Vladyslav sent his wife and little son to her parents, who lived in a village. Thereafter he went to the hospital to work the shift that lasted a month! One day, the doctor looked out the window and noticed the movement of the Russian military vehicles. Vladyslav warned everyone that they should hide in the basement. Then, the tank rolled up and started shelling the hospital.
