Maryna Stanetska, the director of a Mariupol restaurant, has been running a shelter in her establishment since the first day of the war. Almost a hundred people lived on the basement floor for a month. Once there was a direct hit to the building, a shell pierced two floors.

The children were constantly asking why they wanted to kill us. We helped the wounded in the shelter with improvised means, using a magnet to determine the location of the shrapnel in the body. When the opportunity arose to leave, Maryna took nine people in her small car. One of the women had to be put in the trunk.
