Tetiana had been fighting for her life even before the full-scale war began — with kidney failure, dialysis, and waiting for surgery. The news of the invasion caught her in Kyiv, standing in line at a laboratory. At that time, in order to survive, she had to leave for Switzerland, where she underwent two surgeries. But her heart pulled her back home — and she returned. Despite the air-raid alarms and danger, she learned to live in the new reality. But the night of June 17 will remain in her memory forever: under the rubble of a destroyed building, her friend’s son was killed. Tetiana came to the site of the tragedy with hope and returned with pain — the boy had died. Despite the pain and loss, Tetiana does not lose faith: truth, humanity, and the strength of Ukrainians will surely prevail.
