Olena is from Prymorsk, Zaporizhzhia region. Her husband defended Mariupol, and she went out to protest actions. For almost a month it stood in front of enemy APCs. She didn't spend the night at home, stayed with some friends, then with others.
She left the occupation together with the Mariupol refugees. There were hungry, sick, and exhausted people on the buses. The Russians held them for two days at a checkpoint in Vasylivka. No food, no water, no heat. Only on the second day were the volunteers able to find water and bread.
After Olena ended up in Zaporizhzhia, she began a new struggle – for the return of her husband from captivity. He was returned in the famous exchange for Medvedchuk. And the Muzyka family united again.
