Olha Zakharchuk lives in the village of Nebelytsia, Kyiv region. She lives with her daughter, who has cerebral palsy. Despite the difficulties with her health (including her own), Olha and her daughter are actively involved in volunteer work. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the women have not left their village. Even though it was very scary. When the situation in the region stabilised, they began to work on making camouflage nets for the frontline. Olha and her daughter spend 4-5 hours a day cutting the ribbons. The woman speaks of her volunteer vocation with devotion. Her daughter, who is also a talented embroiderer, is Olha’s closest partner in this difficult volunteer work.
