From the very first days of the full-scale war, Nataliia stayed in Kyiv and seemed to have grown accustomed to constant danger — she almost never went to a shelter. But the night of June 17, 2025, changed everything. For the first time in a long while, fear for her life forced her to go into an underpass, where residents of the Solomianskyi district usually hid.

Returning home at dawn, she dozed off, but was awakened again by explosions — she ran out of her apartment in just her pajamas and barely managed to hide once more in the underpass when a russian ballistic missile struck the neighboring building!

Smoke, screams, the wounded, and a completely destroyed entrance hall — what Nataliia saw on the street will remain in her memory forever. All the windows in her apartment were blown out, but she survived — and she thanks fate for this chance. Because after that night, she understands even more clearly: life is the most precious thing; everything else can be rebuilt.
