Natalia left Bakhmut in September 2022. By this time, she had seen enough of the horrors of war. Missiles, destroyed houses, air strikes, including those on her house. The Deshevykh family was leaving under fire. Her former life and almost all of her property remained in Bakhmut, but having lost everything, she still believes that the peaceful sun will rise again over her city.
