Before the war, Nastia worked as a social worker in the village of Pryshyb in Zaporizhzhia region. The Russians occupied the village at the beginning of the invasion. Food and medicine were cut off in the first weeks. Nastia, at times risking her life, visited her wards because she simply could not leave the elderly without help. She bought and delivered food and medicine to them until the Russians put their own people in charge of the village.

Nastia did not decide to move for a long time. But she has two teenage children, and she could not imagine their future in the occupation.

In the autumn of 2022, the family left Pryshyb. Soon, Nastia's house became a military base for Russian soldiers.
