Nina recalls how her village came under Russian occupation. With the first explosions, she realized that a full-scale war began in Ukraine. When Russian soldiers entered their street, Nina was not afraid for herself, but she was deeply worried for the lives of her husband and son. The soldiers fired at their house, shattering the windows on the veranda. One of the most painful memories is the death of her daughter due to an enemy strike. The family could not bury her because of the hostilities and the restrictions imposed by the occupiers. Nina and her husband spent a long time, seeking permission to take the body and bury their daughter in another district.
