“We collected and melted snow to get at least some water”

Bad thoughts began to creep in just before the war. Large home appliance stores were moving their goods out of Mariupol. There was no panic in the city. On February 24, the first explosion occurred at 05.24. Calls from relatives and friends began. People were buying all the food in the stores. Anastasia moved to her friend's house because she was afraid to be alone in her apartment. In early March, massive shelling began, and the girl saw the first destruction with her own eyes.
