I live with my family in Makiivka, in the Shakhtarskyi microdistrict, which is dangerous because of shelling. There are whistles everywhere, shelling… It's just scary! For two and a half years, it was almost never quiet near our house. The windows are shaking, it's not normal. We don't sleep half the night, because the explosions are constant. The younger kid is afraid, the older kids already got used to it.

I am 14 years old, and I am responsible for my family, taking care of the closest ones – my sister, younger brother and grandmother.

My sister Bogdana and I are twins, David is five. My mother died of pneumonia three years ago. After that, my grandmother took custody of my sister and me. David has a different father, who comes to visit him on weekends.

Of course, it is difficult for a grandmother to cope with three children. So my sister and I do all the housework ourselves. I clean up, I can go grocery shopping.

We can't stop thinking about our mother, we miss her support so much. We miss. Sometimes it's difficult with David, he's such a meaner …

We can't leave the combat zone. Therefore, we live and support each other in a difficult situation.
