Mark Kislov recalls that six months before the full-scale invasion, there was unrest, so their family packed a suitcase with canned food and other long-term storage products in advance. They also developed an evacuation plan from Kyiv to the region together with their cats. However, with the outbreak of war, the situation turned out to be more complicated: rockets that flew at Kyiv or Bila Tserkva flew over their shelter. A week before the invasion, the school discussed who could join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but no one expected how terrible the real course of events would be.

After February 24, 2022, Mark's friend became a volunteer and subsequently signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He told Mark about the fighting in Zhytomyr region, and his stories shocked the guy so much that he can't forget them.
