The story of Oleksandra is the story of a mother and a wife. February 24 began for her with thoughts about her younger son — a missile hit his unit. Fortunately, he and his comrades were already outside the base. And he asked his mother to bring at least some things and a power bank, because they had to leave the building very quickly.
Then Oleksandra began a quest to search for her child, because his phone had already died. All she knew was the number of the unit and the company commander's last name. She drove around many bases, ended up on the third line of the front. And she found her son just like in the movies — during an air raid, she ran off the road, fell onto the sand, and next to her was the one she had been searching for so long. That was one of the happiest moments in Oleksandra’s life.
The war also brought the most terrible thing — her older child was killed in the battles for Bakhmut. And her husband was severely wounded in the head. The woman did everything to help him.
Besides her family, Oleksandra is supported by children — she works at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth. It is precisely children’s emotions — that is what makes life worth living.
