Anna from Melitopol never thought she would find herself living under occupation. Until February 24, 2022, her life was like that of most of her friends — filled with work, meetings, and plans for the future. However, everything changed overnight.

The morning of the 24th began with explosions.  They were loud, distant, but echoed throughout the city. A few days later, enemy vehicles appeared in the streets. At first, Anna observed them from a distance, then on the main streets, and soon they were right in front of her. She could feel the oppressive weight of fear in the city air. Two months under occupation felt like an eternity.  Anna noticed people disappearing, and the city filled with soldiers who looked unfamiliar.
