Iryna Volodymyrivna Kindsfather

“We thought that our son would die of hunger…”

Iryna Kindsfater from Mariupol has two sons, aged 21 and 10. When the full-scale war began, Iryna and her family did not leave immediately, as they hoped that everything would end quickly. Several days later, they were simply unable to leave. On March 10, the first bomb hit a section of their house. The Kindsfater family had to move to the basement. Iryna’s elder son has a disability. Because of his illness, the boy was unable to eat the food that was available in the city under siege. The most tragic was that he could have died of hunger… But the family was able to escape the danger!
