Anastasiia met the war in Kyiv, but on the first day she left for her parents’ home in Cherkasy region. On the way, she saw a plane being shot down right overhead – a moment that was forever etched in her memory, and then for a long time everything around her seemed dangerous. Her relatives persuaded her to move to Germany, and she eventually agreed. But wherever fate took her, her heart always pulled her home. In 2025, Anastasiia finally returned because she physically felt that she missed her land. The war intensified her love for Ukraine and aroused her interest in its history. Anastasiia dreams of the day when her large family, scattered around the world, will come home to hug and celebrate the victory together.
