On November 27, as part of the documentary project “Diaries of Civilians: voices of survivors and those who did not survive” the Museum of Civilian Voices by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation will host a public interview with philanthropist Khrystya Khranovska. The event will take place at the Kyiv City Museum of History.

Khrystya Khranovska is a well-known philanthropist behind many social, educational, and cultural initiatives. One of her latest projects is the traveling exhibition “War Diaries: the unheard voices of Ukrainian children,” which has gained international attention in several European countries and the United States.

The interview will be moderated by Natalia Yemchenko, Director of communications at SCM and a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

During the conversation, titled “War Diaries: what are Ukrainian children writing about?”, the following topics will be discussed:

— Forms and formats of children’s ego-documents;

— Diaries as a tool for advocating children’s rights and restoring justice;

— The significance of children’s diaries in the testimonies of Ukrainians about the war.

The Museum of Civilian Voices already houses over 120,000 war stories. It is the largest collection of personal accounts from civilians who have suffered as a result of russia’s war against Ukraine.
