A Celebration Despite the War
Whatever life may bring, children remain children, and during the winter holidays they still wait for a New Year’s miracle. For more than two decades, Ukrainian children have received festive greetings and gifts as part of the “Rinat Akhmetov for Children” New Year campaign. This tradition of kindness and support has already reached more than 1.2 million boys and girls across Ukraine.
War is no reason to deprive children of a celebration. In these difficult times, the team of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation pays particular attention to children and young people who need support the most. These include children forced to flee their homes, children from socially vulnerable families, orphans, and those who have lost their parents during the war. By creating small miracles during the Christmas and New Year season, the Foundation helps children preserve their faith in a peaceful and happy future.
Participants in the festive events entrusted the Museum of Civilian Voices with their sincere and moving accounts of what they had endured during the war. We have brought together the stories of children and their parents in a dedicated collection.
