“OHMATDYT. Hope”: stories of people who came to the aid of Ukraine's main children's hospital after the shelling

This place is special to all Ukrainians. Here, children with even the most serious illnesses have hope for healing, and doctors perform miracles. Every year, more than 20000 children from all over the country are treated here.

On the 866th day of the full-scale invasion, missiles fired by Russia at the country's main specialised children's hospital destroyed more than just buildings. They hit hope. They hit children.

The collection of the Museum of Civilian Voices by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is dedicated to those who immediately responded to this Russian terrorist attack on Ohmatdyt.

These are first-hand stories about Kyiv residents who were nearby. And about those who came to Ohmatdyt to help in the first hours after the attack.

Today, a lot of efforts are being made to rebuild the buildings and restore the hospital. The future is here to stay.
