Natalia Ivanina has devoted her entire life to education. Since 2013, she has headed the Department of education in the Dniprovskyi District of Kyiv. On February 24, Natalia woke up simultaneously from explosions outside the window and from a car alarm. It was clear: it is not just some kind of sabotage or a separate incident, it is a full-scale invasion. She had prepared her suitcase in advance, knowing that something terrible might happen. But instead of fleeing, she went to a place that later became an important centre of resistance – to the Lyceum. It was located near the military enlistment office, and it was there that a huge number of people gathered who wanted to stand up for the defense of the country. Among them were young guys and even people on crutches who did not stop due to refusals and persistently returned again and again to defend Ukraine.
